Fauna Ephemera

In “Fauna Ephemera” I use various image processes which capture ephemeral moments in my local outdoor spaces. Through using various techniques and technologies, I am able to collaborate with the inhabitants of my own backyard, local retention ponds, and urban landscapes.

My cliché verres are made by extending the image making process outward by placing soot-covered plates in wooded areas for various durations of time. This results in markings in the soot made by wind, moisture, insects, and animals. The plates are then contact printed or pressed onto paper, transferring a menagerie of ephemeral marks and gestural patterns.
